Association of Cardiologist of Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded in 1995. The Cardiologist Section of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Yugoslav Cardiologist Assiciation existed from 1961. Association of Cardiologist of Bosnia and Herzegovina has 115 members and 13 working groups . It is member of the European Cardiologist Association and World Heart Organization.

Since it`s fundation in 1995, Association of Cardiologist of Bosnia and Herzegovina has menaged to establish regular proffesional events within the scope of it`s activities:
1. Congress of Cardiologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina - takes plase every 3 years (Congress - 1998, II Congress - 2001, III Congress is prepared to be held in 2004)
2. Proffesional meetings of our Association - 2 times a year ( since 1995 has been held 12 meetings with current topics from cardiology).

Out of 115 members of Association of Cardiolofists of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 5 members have received the diploma F.E.S.C. , while 8 members have certificate of European Cardiologist.

Within it`s available possibilities, the Cardiologist Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina make great efforts to provide technical improvement of the physicians from the area of cardiology. Due to restricted material means, te association operates on the voluntary basis without paid professionals.
